What is Fiction2Reality?
Fiction2Reality (F2R) is a long-term creative venture focused on translating fictional and liminal spaces into experiences people can explore. The work begins digitally—with 3D environments, films, images, and world-building—and aims over time toward physical, visitable spaces.
What is the eventual plan for the physical spaces?
The ambition is to create large-scale, visitable environments that feel architecturally complete—not merely a ride, set tour, or group of decorated rooms. The exact form will depend on feasibility, partnerships, rights, safety, and what the earlier digital work teaches us.
What does the timeline look like?
There is no reliable completion date yet. Fiction2Reality is still in its first, digital stage, and later stages depend on audience growth, funding, design development, collaborators, property rights, and construction feasibility. Updates will be shared as milestones become concrete.
Why begin with the Backrooms and liminal spaces?
Liminal environments allow the team to experiment with atmosphere, architecture, pacing, and spatial storytelling without beginning with the complexity of a full castle-scale build. The broader Backrooms phenomenon grew through decentralized internet culture, but specific stories, characters, visual assets, and interpretations can still have their own rights. Fiction2Reality therefore focuses on original work and evaluates rights as each project develops.
Is Fiction2Reality digital, or will it really become physical?
Both are part of the vision. Digital work is not filler: it is creative work in its own right and a practical way to test environments, storytelling, and audience interest. Physical spaces remain the long-term ambition, but they will require substantially more planning, capital, expertise, and time.
How will Fiction2Reality handle licensing and intellectual property?
Any project based on a protected fictional property would require the appropriate permission, license, or official partnership before becoming a commercial physical experience. Until then, references to properties such as Hogwarts describe long-term inspiration, not an affiliation or authorization. Original concepts and properly usable material provide room to create and learn in the meantime.
How could the project be funded?
Possible paths include revenue from creative work, crowdfunding, community support, investors, sponsors, and strategic partners. No single funding model has been finalized. Building strong digital work first helps demonstrate the idea before larger financial commitments are sought.
Who is working on Fiction2Reality?
Fiction2Reality is currently led by Aaron Schlossberg with a small, evolving group of collaborators contributing skills such as 3D modeling, animation, storytelling, design, and world-building. Contributors may vary by project.
